I must say one thing that I absolutely can't stand is waiting forever in waiting rooms. Yesterday I took Mckenzie to her specialist in Idaho Falls to get her head casted. Louis drop us off at the specialist and then went to pick up a few things at some stores. Forty-five minutes later Louis pulled back into the parking lot hoping to find us done, however we we're still sitting in the waiting room! A few minutes later we were finally able to get in. The whole casting process was really a neat procedure and only lasted 20 minutes thank goodness. I really wish I could have gotten a picture of it. I must say it's amazing what they can do with modern technology. Anyways I found it interesting, but Mckenzie did not. She thought the whole process was horrible. She hated having to be held still and even more she hated the fact that they were putting something on her head. She screamed louder then I have ever heard her scream. I must say it was kind of funny though because she would scream so loud while the specialist was working on her head, but as soon as he would turn around she would stop, but as soon as he turned back around she new what was coming and would just scream even louder. Even after the cast was all done and off of her head and she was all cleaned up and we were getting ready to leave she saw the specialist in another room and started screaming. Hopefully she forgets what he did and learns to like him otherwise we might have some miserable appoinments with him from here on out.
The poor thing. I hope that it helps and things work out well. Modern technology is wonderful (but sometime it is still is not fun)
ReplyDeleteI'll bet if he does this for babies much, he is pretty used to the screaming!
