LOUIS' BIRTHDAY
September 20th was my dear sweet husband's birthday!!! Since his birthday was on a Sunday we really didn't do much besides open presents and have cake.(On Monday we went to see a movie.) Mckenzie had a blast helping him open his presents. She thought it was so much fun to tear open the paper. She would tear it open, hand Louis the present and then continue to play some more with the paper.
MCKENZIE'S HELMET UPDATE
On September 24th I took Mckenzie once again to see her specialist because she had learned how to unvelcro the helmet and pull it off her head. The specialist made some adjustments on how it velcros up so that she can't undo it. He also took some more measurements on her head. This time we finally received good news. Her head has made some progress!!! We've jumped from a 7 1/2 on the SD scale to a 5 1/2!!!We're still hoping to see much more progress, but at least we're doing better. However, Mckenzie has once again proven to be way too smart for her own good. She has figured out how to maneuver the helmet just right so that she can take it off without unvelcroing it. So it looks like we just might be making a trip to the sepcialist sooner then we expected.
PICTURES OF MY BABY GIRL
As a mom I sometimes feel deprived because I do not get to enjoy my baby girl's soft fuzzy head/hair. So over the weekend I decided to give Mckenzie a break from her helmet for a while and take some pictures of her. Of course she would not cooperate, but I still think they are adorable because I get to see her beautiful hair!

ReplyDeleteI love the pictures too. Her hair is getting long since I saw her last. I think her head looks great...I know I can't see the back in the pictures, but it does look really good. Yay that it is working. I am so sorry she keeps figuring ways to get the miserable helmet off...I don't blame her. She is a smartie!
