Mckenzie

My poor little girl had to go to the Doctor today to get shots. I always hate seeing them stick her and then having her scream for hours. The worse thing about this time was that she would not hold still so they made me hold her while they stuck her. She was so upset after her shots that she didn't even want me to hug her. She was so mad at me! The only thing that she wanted was her razorback stuff animal that her Aunt Karen gave her. She just loves that thing. She hug that thing and cried so hard that she finally cried herself to sleep.

Any of you that have seen Mckenzie have probably noticed that she has a really flat head in back. We have tried everything to get it to shape normal. During the day I hardly ever put her on her back, but it still isn't popping out. This morning when Mckenzie was at the Doctors he acted a little bit more worried about it then he did two months ago when he saw her last. He gave me a test form order and I have to take Mckenzie up to the Hospital in the next couple of days and have them do x-rays of her head to see if she has craniosynostosis. I really don't want to take her today where she is so cranky from her shots so we will probably go tomorrow. Hopefully we will discover that everything is ok.

Mckenzie is finally four months, which means that she can start having rice cereal! If you asked me she probably could have started having it earlier, but being a first time mom I decided to wait until the doctor told me to, just to be safe. Mckenzie has been driving me nuts the last two weeks because she is refusing to drink her bottles. She'll scream and cry because she wants our food, but won't touch her bottles. Believe it or not, but in two weeks she lost almost 3 pounds. Thanks goodness she's a big baby and had three pounds to loose. Anyways one of Mckenzie's favorite thing to do is to drink daddy's pop(well at least she thinks she's drinking it) Every time she sees Louis with a pop she fusses for it. So we now give her her own...........

It's a good thing that she hasn't realized yet that the can isn't open. She just loves holding the cold can and putting her mouth on it. I guess she just wants to be like her Daddy. It looks like I could have another pop addict on my hands!!

  1. I hate shots - they are no fun. I hope the tests on her head go well. You will have to let us know on the website when you get results. She is sure a cute little thing.

  2. First of all, good luck with the tests tomorrow. Let us know. There are always so many worries with a baby. Hope it all goes good.

I LOVE the pop picture. Mckenzie sounds like such a character!

I hate taking babies in for shots. I have almost always had to hold my babies legs. I always look the other way-hoping they don't think I have anything to do with it. Not fun--but better than them getting diseases.
